Network marketing is one of the three forms of distribution that companies use to bring a product to market. the other two forms are 1. Retail and 2. direct marketing ( Avon is an example)

network marketing works by a use and referall method or word of mouth marketing. In the same way that you hear about a funny new video on YouTube, word of mouth is an incredibly powerful method of introducing a new product to people.

By sharing the product and business opportunity in this way you are able to build a distribution organisation of your own, leveraging your income by earning a small percentage of everyones efforts.

The great thing about Network marketing is that you are in business for yourself BUT not by yourself. From your sponsor, upline all the way to the company there are plenty of people who are ready and willing to help you succeed. All these people in fact have a vested financial interest in making you as successful as possible…you cannot have a more motivated support system than that!

The reason people are able to earn high incomes in network marketing is because of the leveraging that occurs. To explain leveraging here is a simple 2 part example:

In the traditional business model you get paid for time. 5.00 an hour for example.

You work 10 hours a day, 6 days a week. you get 5.00 × 10 × 6 = 300
If you worked 24 hours a day you could only earn 720.00!!! and thats impossible…

In network marketing you might get an equivilent payment of 0.50 an hour but you also get paid 0.10 an hour for each person you introduce to the business opportunity.

Over time you build an organiztion or ‘downline’ of 500

Now you are getting 0.50 × 10 × 6 = 30.00 for you own efforts
plus

you also get paid 0.10 × 10 × 6 x 500 = 3000.00 from the efforts of your downline

So for the same hours worked you would be paid 3030.00

That is the effect of leveraging that occurs in network marketing.
